Dare and Derriere is a Portland-based circus burlesque company.
Created in 2024 by Portland performer Sara James in order to give an independent platform to talented local pole dancers, burlesque performers, and aerialists.

Aerial Burlesque Show FAQs

Expect to see feats of strength, grace, and flexibility paired with risqué reveals! Our aerial burlesque show in Portland Oregon combines high-flying circus and salacious striptease with about 10-14 jaw-droppin’, eyeball-poppin’ performances on a variety of aerial apparatuses.
The burlesque show starts promptly at 7 pm and lasts a total of about 2.5 hours (this varies by show). This burlesque production is divided into two acts with a 20 minute intermission between.This burlesque show in PDX is for ages 21+. Ages 18-20 are OK when accompanied with a parent or guardian.

Doors open at 6 pm to allow the audience time to get in and get settled. During this time, we encourage folks to visit the bar for a custom or classic cocktail (or mocktail), obtain tipping dollars from our money honeys, peruse the raffle prizes and buy tickets, and shop with our vendors!

Yes! Our Portland venue, the Alberta Rose Theatre, is fully wheelchair-accessible with ramps, ADA seating, and two accessible restrooms available to the right after entering past the lobby. The restroom beyond the bar is not wheelchair accessible, however.
Additionally, Dare and Derriere burlesque shows are ASL-interpreted with reserved seating available front of house on the right. If you wish to sit in preferred seating with a more central view of the stage, let the Alberta Rose Theatre PDX know after you purchase your tickets so they may make sure you have the best view of the interpreter and the aerial show!

The Alberta Rose is a General Admission venue with fixed seating on a slightly sloped floor making the stage easily seen from all seats. Most chairs have fixed arms, but there are also wide, armless chairs available. The arrangement changes depending on presales. Standing room tickets are not available - once the show is sold out, all tickets are gone!
Preferred seating is available front and center, which puts you up close to the action with the best view of the performances!

There is plenty of street parking on Alberta St. or in the neighborhood streets between 29th and 31st. Please be a good neighbor and do not block driveway, sidewalk ramps, or intersections!
Consider carpooling or taking Portland public transportation. Bus #72 has a stop across the street. -
All sales are final - there are no refunds. You may privately transfer your ticket, so long as the new ticketholder has the digital ticket with scannable barcode.

Dare and Derriere uses an application process for all shows. A casting call is put out at least 3 months in advance so performers near Portland or traveling from afar may submit acts for consideration.

Expect to see 12 of Portland (and beyond)’s sexiest burlesque, drag, and circus acts performing to the music of the iconic industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails - you’ll hear an array of everything from their greatest hits to their deepest cuts!
The burlesque show starts promptly at 7 pm and lasts a total of about 2.5 hours (this varies by show). This Portland burlesque production is divided into two acts with a 20 minute intermission between.

The Nova PDX is technically ADA-accessible; however, there is not an elevator. The cabaret show is held in the event space on the second story. If you or someone you will be with requires assistance, please contact the venue prior to the event for accessibility options.

The Nova PDX is a General Admission venue in Portland Oregon. General Admission is considered Standing Room Only - there are about 130 armless chairs available to those on a first-arrival basis. There are also benches available for sitting around the edges of the room.
Front row, private VIP tables for two and tables for four are available for purchase in advance. These tables give you the best view of the stage and come with a VIP swag bag!

Nova PDX is located at 722 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97214.
There is on-street parking available on Burnside and on the surrounding streets. Expect to park a block away (or more).
Portland Metro Lightrail B and Bus 6 has stops at the corner of Burnside and Grand (2 blocks away from the Nova PDX). Buses 12, 19, and 20 have stops at SE 8th and Burnside at the east corner of the venue.
