Mismonsta (Elena) relocated from her childhood home of San Diego in 2011 to obtain her BFA from Oregon College of Art and Craft, graduating in 2014. She's been in Portland ever since.
Her style crosses genres and she never lets style constraints limit the range of her expression. Her favorite mediums to work in are watercolor and ink, acrylics, and digitally, Procreate on the iPad.
When she is not rendering her favorite subjects (people, skeletons, mermaids, folklore, comics, and fan art), Mismonsta can be found performing bellydance and cabaret around the Pacific Northwest.
